The turned again mock "Provost (for a day) of Leith", Margo Macdonald, in a handsome Daimler, led children, dancers, and pipe bands from Lochend to Leith Links in the annual Leith Pageant on a temperate summer's day in June. Last year Leith rained on Margo's parade, so the Festival Committee decided to invite her to be Lord Provost for a second year running.

Pipe bands were represented by the green of the Peter Smith Sunshine on Leith Pipes and Samba Band, Leith Community Concert Band, and the Boys Brigade pipers. Dance was represented by the Edinburgh Samba School, and Leith Lady Dockers and their children marched with a Disney characters theme.
