Leithers showed their spirit by peresevering in the day long rain of Leith Gala Day 2011 to enjoy themselves in spite of the spirit sapping drizzle.
Hermitage Park Primary, won the football final, 4-2 over Tower Bank Primary from Portobello (dubbed "foreigners" by Festival Chair, Gordon Munro). The 3rd Crocus Award in memory of the guerilla gardening campaign by Cllr Elizabeth Laidlaw and friends was won my the departing Minister of South Leith Parish Church Rev Ian Gilmour.
