North Edinburgh Arts Centre saw two exciting events during the festival. One was an exhibition by artist and illustrator Alice Bethune Spicer, 100 Wondelands. Alice was "discovered" by fellow artist Kate MacKay, selling postcards of her work for 20p a shot in a car boot sale. Kate helped to arrange for this highly deserving artist to have an exhibition at North Edinburgh Arts Centre. Strikingly, Alice likes to create art without relying on technology.

The other exhibition on display was the culmination of a project funded by CORE and the DfID to explore the UN's Millennium Goals, by bringing people together to create communal works of art.
